1965 Ferrari 330 GT

The provisional 330 America was replaced in January 1964 by the new 330 GT 2+2. It was shown for the first time at the Brussels Show early that year. However, it was much more than a 250 with a new engine, featuring a sharper nose and tail, four headlights, and a wide grille. Power remained the same at 300 hp (220 kW). The wheelbase was 50 mm (2,0 inches) longer, but Koni adjustable shock absorbers improved handling. A dual-circuit Dunlop braking system with discs all around was used, although the brakes were separated from front to rear rather than diagonally as in modern systems. Upon leaving the factory, the 330 GT was originally fitted with Pirelli Cinturato 205VR15 tires (CN72). The 1965 Series II version had a five-speed gearbox instead of the four-speed gearbox with overdrive from the previous year.
