There are few cars that better demonstrate Ferrari’s ability to combine outright performance with everyday usability than the 488 GTB. The 488 GTB’s 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces an extraordinary 661bhp, delivering its performance through Ferrari’s lightning-fast seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The result is a car capable of reaching 62mph in around three seconds, yet one that remains remarkably composed and accessible when driven at more sensible speeds. The steering is beautifully direct, the chassis exceptionally balanced and the engine delivers a seemingly endless wave of acceleration.
