- When we think of Ferrari and California, we must honestly admit that our thoughts immediately go to the Ferrari 250 GT California Spider. But we also admit that this California is truly fantastic. A wonderful Ferrari, and we are pleased to have one in the collection at Gallery Aaldering.The distinctive aspect about the Ferrari California is that it was the first Ferrari with a V8 engine at the front of the car. Ferrari also introduced a folding roof that gives a unique look for many sunny drives on the boulevard.Because Ferrari placed the great V8 at the front, this Ferrari was significantly different from its peers such as the 430 Scuderia and 458 Italia. The California had and still has a strong appeal besides its looks, and that is a large luggage compartment, which makes it extremely suitable as a real GT. But now we have to be careful, because we don't want to give the impression that the performance figures of this car are GT. On the contrary. The 4,3-litre engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 316 km/h. However, it doesn't stop here.
